When to have a baby shower??

I’m currently 17 weeks with mono/di girls. My doctor has just informed me that they aren’t going to let me go past 36 weeks due to them sharing one placenta. So when do you guys recommend a baby shower? This is also my first pregnancy

I would say 35-30 weeks. I had mine on Saturday I was 29 weeks and 3 days. I was so uncomfortable and turns out I was having contractions during my baby shower and ended up in L&D that night for pre term labor.

I was due to have my baby shower when I was 31 weeks pregnant....however my twins arrived the day before my shower 🤣 definitely have it sooner rather than later x

I'm going to be 28 weeks for my shower on the 4th of July! Living in England, I thought it was perfect to make all my Red Coat friends have a BBQ for an American on 4th of July and do it 4th of July themed🤣🤣My friends are planning it so I've no idea what a Brit will think 4th of July theme is😅

I think 25-30 weeks is good. I had mine at 32 weeks and I was deeeeeadddd tired after lol

Thank y’all for sharing! I also was thinking between 25-30 weeks. I just needed a little reassurance because I know there is a possibility of being put on bed rest & also early labor.

I had my baby shower at 28 weeks and it was perfect because I wasn't too tired to actually enjoy it. I was able to organize and set up everything I had gotten from my shower. It gave me plenty of time to prepare.

I ended up not having one because of covid-19, but it had been planned for 28 weeks. Which based on how I’ve felt since (35+3 now), would have been perfect.

With multiples it’s best to have a shower earlier rather than later. You will feel better and be able to enjoy the party more. I was put on strict hospital bedrest 1 week after my shower, didn’t have enough time to prep the nursery and you never know for sure what those last few weeks before the babies come will be like. Congrats!!! Twinsies!!!
