When will brands cater to my needs?

So I have experienced very heavy periods since I was 14. I got my period around 9/10 (I know it's early af let's not talk about that) I struggled for years to find a product and brand that suited me and my heavy, painful periods.

So tampons was my go to for years until I learned that using super heavy duty tampons daily was dangerous as hell not just for a drier day but in general. I also stopped being able to use them after my first miscarriage due to pain being unbearable. After using pads again despite the constant struggle with size and absorbancy my pains lessened significantly although still enough to leave my bedridden for 6 days a month.

So pads and I have a love hate relationship. The feeling of wearing a nappy is so so real to me on a daily basis. Without that feeling though I feel insecure because I leak through any regular pad. After 3 years of trying I found bodyform. They did the night time ultra long winged pads that became my best friend and only love. Other pads did not compare in size or security and even then leaking through this monster of a pad was no stranger to me either but it happened way less often than with always or other brands of pad that just don't cater to heavy periods the way bodyform does.

After so so long of relying on this brand they changed their packaging right before covid meaning supplies are down and this girl has been left to stick 3 pads in her underwear to be able to get the coverage and support I need for just a few hours of absorbancy. It's been so long since I had the struggle of testing new brands and nothing compares at all. So to prove my point here's a picture of the most absorbent and longest pad made by boots here in the UK known for being inclusive to all women and their flows vs my usual bodyform pre-package change.

It's like wearing a nappy 2 sizes too small. It just doesn't give me the security I need at all whatsoever. I wish these brands would cater to me and women like me who can't help how heavy their flow is. Rant over just had to be said how awful I feel right now, this pad drought for my go to has really made me feel shit to say the least since I never realised how closed this market was to heavy flows and my needs. I've blown an entire pack of pads in the 30 hours I've been on and let me tell you how that's affected my self esteem 🙈
