Does anyone hate it when people give dumb "advice"? If I tell someone my son is a light sleeper so try not to slam the bathroom door (which shares a wall with his crib) while he's asleep I always get the response, "Better start training him to sleep through noises!" Or if I tell someone I can't come visit them because they're 45 minutes away and my son hates the car, I don't enjoy listening to him scream on the highway until he's coughing and eventually passes out they tell me, "Better start training him to like the car!" Okay, thanks for your pointless advice, I'm sure you can't tell me just how to do that.... And when my son was a newborn he ate every hour, my husband's grandma told me I shouldn't be feeding him that often. Okay, you want me to listen to him crying with hunger and not do anything? Ugh, just had to vent. What's the most useless parenting advice you've been given? 😅
