Hi, I’m really not understanding the OPK results or my cycle in general.. This is a picture of my cycle so far. I don’t think any of the strips have been positive? But then again I only test once a day, late in the evening, because OPK strips are expensive here.

I removed my hormonal IUD on April 21st, right after my 6 day long period ended. According to my OB-GYN’s estimates I’d ovulate on cycle day 11-13 approximately. We did not conceive that cycle. That cycle also lasted over 40 days, probably because of the IUD..

This time I wanted to track my ovulation using OPKs, but they seem to just confuse me more. Wouldn’t I ovulate on day 11-13 this cycle as well? Or did the IUD completely mess up my system?

Also I’m seriously confused as to why people keep recommending that we have sex every other day to improve fertility when the studies I read have found that people who have sex every day have a conception rate of 37% and people who have sex every other day had a 33% conception rate...

I’d appreciate any help, insights or advice. Thanks.
