I've been married to my husband for 7 months and we've lived together for 16 months. He is the most amazing husband and the best dad. My daughter is from a previous relationship when I was 17. He treats her just like his own and refuses to call her his step daughter. They have the most beautiful and strong bond, it's stronger than I ever thought she would have with someone other than me. Since we got married, my husband has been asking to adopt her. Her biological father hasn't seen her in almost 4 years (she just turned 4), he hasn't been in contact in 3 years, 2 years ago we hired a lawyer and P.I. to try and find him since he has not paid any in child support (owes more than $15,000) they were as unsuccessful as ORS has been. I contacted a lawyer today to start the process! I'm overcome with so many emotions and so excited.
