Okay so my friend and her husband really want us to take a trip with them to the Smokey mountains in Gatlinburg, TN this October. The only problem is that I will be 33 weeks going on 34 weeks the weekend that they want to go. I know that it’s not even recommended to travel when you are nearing the end of your pregnancy. However, before thinking about all of this we rented the cabin and started planning. The cabin is refundable just in case but I didn’t think about how limited I would be. From where I am in Indiana it will take 6 hrs and 30 minutes to get there but they are wanting to do a whole bunch of things that I can’t even do. I recommended an itinerary that we are all comfortable with because they are wanting to do some stuff that I can’t and that’s okay. That’s why we are driving separate. My question is..have any of you traveled that far along in your pregnancy and are there any horror stories that I need to know about because part of me says that it’s fine and then the other part says no and that all of the walking will send me into early labor 6 and a half hours away from home. And if you have traveled there specifically or somewhere like that around that stage in pregnancy what is there to do? I’m okay with it being “boring” because Tennessee is gorgeous no matter what and I’m just thankful to be carrying my rainbow baby. I’m honestly thinking about backing out all together.
