Does my boyfriend want kids?

My boyfriend and I were about to have sex and he usually doesn’t wear a condom but today he said, “let me put on a condom I don’t want to get you pregnant.... yet..maybe some day.” I was under the impression he doesn’t want kids idk I am open to having kids but does this mean he wants kids?? Idk please let me know what you guys think
