When do you take your ovulation test?

I’ve been taking it straight away in the morning because I drink way too much water during the day for it to pick up the LH. Curious to hear when everyone else takes it? ￼

With opk’s, never use FMU (unless instructed in the instructions). Choose two times between 10 AM and 8 PM that you can test at every day at the SAME two times (so you don’t miss your surge); and use a 4 hour pee hold each time (and try not to drink a lot of liquids during the hold times). Once the test line is as dark as, or darker than, the control line - you have a positive/peak. Once you get a positive/peak opk, ovulation will occur within 12-36 hours; and the egg - once released - will be viable for 12-24 hours.

If you use the strips - that will not be reliable . LH won’t show up that early in the morning. I understand you on drinking water, however, during the days you plan to test you can arrange you water drinking hours around it. I will share mine below and post my favorite tips.
 
On a test day:
-Drink limited water with morning vitamins 
-test at 11am
-drink tons of water from 11am-4pm
-limited water amounts until bed time
-test at 8pm

I always use second pee of the day it works out better for me and i always get my peak but everyone is different

The clear blue advanced with my first morning pee (like 4 am when my husband gets home from work) and then if I’m using strips with my second morning after I get back up at like 8 am. They say to wait until afternoon pee with strips but I drink so much throughout the day I wouldn’t get an accurate reading.
