How do you count how many ounces of formula your LO drinks? Total ounces before or after powder is added?

If you’re making a 2 ounce bottle, it should be 2 ounces of water and one scoop of formula. The formula can sometimes “add” a half an ounce or so but that doesn’t make it a 2.5 ounce bottle. It’s still just a 2 ounce bottle.

So I would pour the water in the bottle, then add the formula, and mix. Whatever the measurement is after that is what I would go off of.

I don't know what's "right" but I just count it after the formula is prepared. In the long run, a little more or less isn't a huge deal, but I get it's annoying.

We counted by just the water. Turns out our pediatrician counted it by water + formula 🙄
Directions on the can say just the water is counted. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So is go with the directions.
