NO NO NO!!! Claire’s is not anywhere near the best place to get your ears pierced. Go to a tattoo parlor instead where they have appropriate needles, extensive knowledge, and guaranteed hygienic practices. Claire’s is so bad for your ears and has a much higher risk of infection.

I had my ears pierced at Claire’s when I was young and they’re clearly crooked to this day. It’s very unsanitary the way they do it. Even for toddler girls I would recommend going to a professional shop. They will usually do it once they reach a certain age and it’s MUCH MUCH more sanitary and done my professionals.

go to a reputable tattoo/piercing parlour instead. claire's uses piercing guns, where the sudden force causes trauma to your ears and the plastic components in the piercing gun mean it can never be truly sterile. i went to a tattoo parlour for my piercings after doing my own research. it's a little pricier but the artists are much more knowledgeable and walk you through every step. for the one i went to, they used a piercing needle made of surgical steel. didn't hurt at all.
