So I tested positive HSV2 and it’s strange cause I never had any symptoms, breakouts and neither has my partner I’ve been with him for 3years almost 4 so I find it strange with all the stress we’ve had for either of us to never have had a breakout (note we’re both 22) . I read that IgM test usually give false positives and igG are more accurate. On my chart it says it is Ab meaning abnormal and that I had it in the past obviously cause I never had a break out nor cared to even get tested...and again my partner either.

What does this mean ? Anyone had similar experiences? And also I really don’t care that much if I do have it but I’m pregnant and want to know the risks of transmitting it to my baby, if any and not only that but if I can have a normal vaginal birth even though I’ve never had a breakout nor cold sore outside of lips only inside cheeks.

One more question-can you pass hsv2 to your mouth from oral sex? Like would it be possible to get a cold sore bc oral sex even if its dormant or your asymptomatic?
