Muslin blankets are awesome. My youngest is 2 years and still sleeps with hers. Some of them I used for multiple kids. I probably accumulated 10-12 between all my kids, gifts etc

Blanket for actual swaddling? Maybe 5 so you don’t have to do laundry constantly. But we used the sleep sacks more, so the light swaddle blankets became EXCELLENT burp cloths!

I like to keep extras for potty accidents, and of course regular washes. ❤️
