I just want some advice on how crazy I am for wanting to get a puppy with a 1 year old child. I am on maternity leave for another 6 months (my mat leave was 18 months total) and feel like I have more time now to spend with a puppy than when I’m working for 8 hours per day. I’ve been going stir crazy especially with everything happening in the world lately. My 1 year old child sleeps all night and things are stable and smooth. Also we don’t plan on having anymore children. We are considering getting a golden retriever. Am I crazy thinking I can make this work?
