We just potty trained my almost 2.5 year old. We started consistently putting him on the potty when he turned 2 before bedtime and when he finally understood what we meant when we said “go potty” we took his diaper away and let him walk around the house naked and set him on the potty every 30 minutes. He got the hang of it super fast and we’ve been 2 weeks with no diaper and 4 days with no accidents!

When they start showing signs but dont be afraid introduce potty training before you think they’re ready I don’t agree with waiting until they say so, I introduced the potty at 18 months and my son wasn’t ready but he knew what it was after that we started reading potty training books together I would say probably around 20 months he started using the potty but he wasn’t fully ready he still isn’t he’s 2 1/2 and he knows how to use the bathroom he tells me when he has to go but he still in diapers because he’s not 100% there yet. I did skip the pull up stage because I just feel like it’s confusing for them and A waste of money I just buy his regular diapers and we use those for naptime in the car and night time. The rest the day he wears underwear or he’s naked for easy access to the bathroom. I’ve never forced anything I’ve kind of let him paved the way but I always offered the party I kept the toilet accessible for him and I encourage it. Every kid goes at their own pace but I do feel like a lot of encouragement is important!￼￼￼￼￼￼￼
