Does your pediatrician approve of bed sharing with your baby?

My whole pediatric office was against it. So I lied to them🤷🏻‍♀️ not even sorry. Lol

my pediatrician never took a stance for or against it, she said whatever works best for each family.

Mine was never for or against. She recognized that each situation is different. She told me about the risks of it but also the benefits and how to do so safely.

She definitely recommends the safe sleep practices but also acknowledges that every baby and family is different.

Most won't be allowed to. They have to advise what the countrys safe sleep practices state. My nurses couldn't even okay a sleep sack because overheating is a risk of sids 🙈 the tag also has a warning on it. At least here in Canada but we're very strict on sleep policies!

I lied to mine from the start, love her doc but they’re really pushy following the ABC’s of safe sleep. They never asked how we sleep just always say “and we’re following the ABC’s of safe sleep right?” 
There are ways to bed share safely, which we follow, and also have an owlet that gives us peace of mind. I just don’t like the nagging or pressure, so I avoid it

She’s never said anything about it. They ask us as part of the safety screener whet the sleeping arrangements are. He’s always been in his own space so maybe that’s why she’s never brought it up.

Mine just said the best is their own bed but if you feel bed sharing is best for you then sleep the best you can without blankets or pillows.
