12 week appointment update

I had my 12 week appointment today and I was nervous and excited. My last appointment (7wks) they saw the heart flutter but wouldn’t let me hear the heartbeat.

Today I was so excited to hear it... I mean I’ve waited 5 weeks... well after 5 minutes of trying they couldn’t find the heartbeat on the Doppler.

So they brought me in for a sonogram where I saw the baby, and they said they saw a flicker for the heart but they wouldn’t let me hear it again..

I’m devastated and nervous.. they set me up with maternal fetal medicine on Friday for another ultrasound..

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible I’m losing the baby? I know I won’t have answers until Friday but thought it couldn’t hurt to come here..
