What should I expect

Hi ladies. I have an initial appointment with a RE next week after 1 yr TTC with no success and one prior missed miscarriage. I wanted to know what to expect on my first visit other than a history and physical. Would they take bloodwork the same day, start treatment? I have pretty regular cycles and ovulate according to LH strips. For some reason just having trouble conceiving.

We had a consult, ultrasound, and both of us had bloodwork done. We already had a few semen samples for my husband from a urologist, so our first appointment was also about the treatment plan. We knew at that meeting we would start with IUI, but I had to do the bloodwork and schedule an HSG first. Do some research and write down any questions you have. Ask anything you want even if it seems silly!

Our first visit was a consult and ultrasound for me. My first blood work was day 3 of my next period, which happened to be a few weeks after our first appointment. But I'm sure every doctor and patient need is different. Be prepared to give a detailed history. Write down any questions you have so you don't forget to ask. Good luck!

I just had my consult this past Thursday with shady grove fertility clinic. We talked about my cycle history and how long we have been trying. He discussed my pcos and what tests he would like to do before treatment and what probably tremendous could be. For us he wants to do day three bloodwork and baseline ultrasound, a saline sonohystogram (instead of anHSG due to my contrast dye allergies), genetic testing optional (we opted out for now), infectious disease bloodwork for both of us, and a semen Analysis for him. Once these tests are complete we have a follow up for treatment! Our testing is quite reasonably priced at shady grove compared to a different clinic we were going to try plus they are nicer!
