When do you pump?

Question

I’ve been giving my baby 2 bottles a day. Once around dinner time so I can cook and 1 overnight. I would like to up it to 3 bottles a day because my LO falls asleep at the breast in the other feeding overnight. Should I pump overnight? When do you ladies pump?

I’ve been breastfeeding on demand and pumping 5x a day to get a stockpile for going back to work. I pump at 9am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, 3-4am. I pump after feeds. I give maybe 4 bottles a day. Sometimes the baby is fussy even after breastfeeding so just small bottles in the morning and afternoon. Then bigger bottles in the evenings so my husband can feed and it helps with her witching hours.

Sometime between 2 and 4 am when he wakes up to eat I pump one side and nurse the other. I have a freemie hands free pump so I use that.
He doesn’t really take bottles right now so I keep a little in the fridge and freeze the rest and can normally get about 4 oz a day into the freezer.
I also pump in the car if we are going somewhere on the expressway.

I try to pump in the morning after she eats from the breast.  If we are replacing a bottle with a breastfeeding session I can usually feel when my boobs feel full.  They ache and start to leak so I will pump it out.
