Baby beach tips?

Going to the beach next week!!!

We went to the beach yesterday! We waited until 4pm when it wasn't as sunny -seeing as Ivy did not want to keep her Sun hat on at all and we didn't have sun cream. It was still quite sunny but not sunbathing weather.
Some tips:
- Bring plenty of water. Your kid will eat sand. Several times.
- Bring a sippy cup with a lid, because your kid will try to bury their sippy cup or flatout throw it in the sand
- Bring a spare change of clothes... for baby and for yourself. By the end of it Ivy was soaked and her clothes were full of sand and ice cream, which is what I expected, what I didn't expect was her to wipe her hands all over my top every 10 minutes 😂 so I had to walk around with muddy sandy ice cream filled hand prints.
- Bring the diaper bag. My partner kept saying "we're not going to need it!" - we did. Wipes were used to clean her up. A nappy bag for her sand filled clothes. New nappy seeing as she insisted on trying to sit down where the tide was coming in.
- Wear clothes you don't care about getting dirty
- Always check the area for jelly fish, shells or glass if they're barefoot. We brought sandles with us which she wore for a whole 10 seconds before throwing in the sea (we luckily got them back).
- Always watch your child, literally common sense but I kept having to remind my partner while I was taking pictures because he didn't seem to realise how fast she would run to get to the sea 😐

I saw a picture where they used a fitted sheet and put things in each corner to make a clean play area for baby! It was so cute and so smart!

We just got back from the beach. Bring a sippy cup with you with water/juice to keep them hydrated in the sun, sunscreen, umbrella (or something to keep them in the shade) snacks and extra water, extra swimmers with you to the beach bc my daughter pooped while swimming, so thankfully we had 2 extra swimmers. Sand toys to keep them entertained, my daughter non-stop would eat the sand, so I’d try to avoid them sitting on it for a long period of time, we ended up buying a beach blanket. Also, a hat for their head. I brought the diaper bag every time we went to the beach, that way I could wipe sand off of her hands and mouth.

Plenty of snacks, change of swimsuit and outfit just incase, swim diapers, sunscreen, little toys, sun hat, extra towels, and medicine

We’re going in about a month! Water, snacks, portable spray fan, sunscreen, pool tent! Also don’t stay too long even though it’s hard not too ☺️. If you’re in walking distance from the beach I’d try to get out there a couple times a day for 1-2 hours.
