My 9 month old is too young for chicken pox vaccine. Her grandfather has shingles and has asked my husband to help him with a project. Could he potentially bring the virus home? I know shingles isn’t contagious to those who have had the vaccine or the virus but I’m not sure if he could carry it back with him if that makes sense? I’ve called my ped office and they didn’t seem too sure on their answer and told me to have my FIL contact his dr since they know his case better than my dr office does. Has anyone dealt with this? Just trying to save us from the massive headache of chicken pox but I also don’t want to be unreasonable.
