Thoughts on what this is?

My 1 year old became very fussy. I took her pants off to find this wrapped almost all the way round her leg. Its raised and hot. Ive marked it to see if its speading. I am waiting for the doctor to call back for a virtual visit. Anyone experience something like this? I dont see anyrhing looking like puncture (a bite).

Very smart of you to mark and see if it’s spreading. I would be concerned that it’s raised and hot to touch. If they don’t call to see her soon, I would consider taking her to an urgent care.

Did they tell you what it is? My son who is 1 has this as well, suddenly. He was wearing shorts and I noticed it while he was walking around. His isn’t hot or hard to touch but it feels raised. Tried calling the advice nurse but nobody answered.

UPDATE: the rash spread to most of her body very quickly so we took her to the hospital. She had an allergic reaction to something, and they got it under control. She continues to have reactions at least twice a day since. We cut out dairy and other things we thought could cause it. We are waiting to see an allery specialist to run some test to determine the cause.
