my son is 14 months and has only breastfed at night for the last month or so. i also only breastfeed him from the left side at this point. the last two nights (and days) he hasn’t breastfed at all, however my left boob is now beginning to get sore and full, and there’s a hard lump.

i’ve gotten mastitis once and it was not fun, i don’t really understand how to just stop breastfeeding entirely without some pain being involved. i mean we’ve really weaned down slowly at this point, again it’s only the left boob and only at bedtime.

any tips on what i can do besides hand express when it’s uncomfortable? thanks!
