Did you/are you having a small party for first birthday with just family?

We’re trying to decide if we’ll let family see our baby now! What did you guys decide to do for the first birthday party?

Day of we're having my parents and grandmother over for dinner then the following weekend we're having a picnic party in the park with friends and other babies.

We just had grandparents and my brother in law over. It’s the only time we’ve been within 6ft of people with no masks on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We invited around 50 people to my sons party which will be outside. Our state has started letting groups of 100 gather. We will have lots of wipes and hand sanitizer for everyone, have tables spaced apart, and will have one person designated to serve food with gloves and a mask on. I will also be preparing the food with a mask and gloves on, and sanitizing my kitchen beforehand. Yeah it will take longer to do things but we really wanted to have a party so it’s important that we take these precautions to make guests feel comfortable. We told people if they were uncomfortable they didn’t need to feel obligated to come.
So far only one person has said they will just bring their own chair and sit apart from others :)
Also we ordered a bunch of little spray bottles from amazon to do hand sanitizer as party favors 😂 we’ll put little stickers on them or something.

Nope, no party 😔 I was and am still sad about it but we were just being very careful. Some family members have been practicing social distancing etc. And others haven't so we didn't want to have to split up who could and couldn't attend. We did a bunch of video calls and had grandparents on Google Duo to sing Happy Birthday. She still had a lot of fun!

We’re moving house next week and her birthday is this sat so we’re just doing a little tea party at home with us and grandparents then when we’ve moved to the new house we’re going to do a housewarming/Amelia’s birthday with more family and a few friends as we have much more outdoor space so can distance ourselves!

We did a small, family only cookout. We stayed out back so we could social distance better and had a really great time!
