Annoying boyfriend

So. I recently moved in with my boyfriend. Because of COVID he was temporarily laid off but still had enough income to afford rent. However after moving in he doesn’t do anything! I go to work all day and when I come home nothing gets done. He gets upset and mad at me when I ask him to do simple things like clean up before I get home. I feel like I’m being too hard on him sometimes but when I work all day and he refuses to do anything and then complains about how tired he is and how his back hurts, how could I not get angry? I don’t know what to do. We’re new to the lease so there’s no real way to back out. I’m afraid to confront him about it because when I try he either argues or cries and makes me feel guilty. What I really want to know is how I should go about this situation.
