Father’s Day 😬
Isn’t every day Father’s Day? Is anyone else’s husband constantly putting his needs first? I feel like every time I ask my husband to do something, he says he’ll get to it AFTER something for himself.
Can you change the baby while I finish cooking breakfast? Response - after I shower.
Can you feed the baby so I can eat? response - after my run.
These are all things I shouldn’t even have to ask him to do, that obviously shouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes or more for whatever personal grooming or gym routine he wants.
He’s had at least 4 arbitrary boys weekends (no event to celebrate) since our son was born last weekend but I still hear shit about the 4 days I took to go to my sisters bachelorette party.
I also bought him a bunch of presents that he won’t appreciate and will just complain about and I’m just so tired of doing it all myself, hearing him tell me I don’t do anything and putting on a happy face for my son.
UPDATE
Thanks, I have pretty low expectations of talking and counseling requests given past attempts. Today he was up with our son at 530...which one of us always is. Somehow it only counts when it’s him though and the extra hour I stayed up or dealt with overnight counts for nothing. He took a 2.5 hour nap today!! And barely helped with the baby before or after it bc he had to get up so early.
He’s such a hypocrite and really doesn’t make an effort to be a family at all. My parents were over earlier, my mom cooked, dad helped with baby so I could do dishes and husband sat in front of tv with his phone the entire time. He walked through the kitchen, made a plate and left as we all took turns NOT eating our dinner in order to feed my son.
And he has the sense of humor of a 10 year old. Yesterday I said I woke up to bug bites on my back. And he says to our 1 year old mommy has fleas on her big hairy bush. What in the actual fuck is wrong with him?!??!!? I’ve asked him constantly not to say stupid and disgusting things like that and he just laughs.
For Father’s Day I should just change the locks 🤷🏻♀️
