Can you have high estrogen 5 days before your period?

Hi all
Can you have high eastrogen 5 days before your period is due?
I am using clear blue advanced digital and been using it this cycle well only past week and all I have been getting is high fertility, is this normal?

The OPKs measure the luteinizing hormone and it might rise but not be positive right before you period. That hormone rises and falls throughout your cycle but reaches a certain high (positive) level about mid cycle before you ovulate. 
As far as estrogen goes it rises about midway between ovulation and period as well as before ovulation.
I have had some issues with the digital tests always showing a flashing smiley and never a solid so I switched to cheap test strips and never had an issue predicting ovulation after that.
