Unsupportive people

Just a little Friday afternoon thought.

So I am at the end of my pregnancy, 39 weeks today exactly.

I am planning on a unmedicated vaginal birth, with laboring at home as long as possible.

I have been blessed so far to have a pretty easy pregnancy. And right now the only thing that bothers me is just feeling like I have a medicine ball strapped to my abs (and of course that comes with some soreness in my hips/thighs). But honestly nothing too bad.

Anyway...I dont understand why so many people (maybe not so many because I try not to talk to anyone but those who may be supportive) want to see me give up and get an epidural? Or think I should be in crazy uncomfortable pain now that it's the end of pregnancy.

I am not saying women dont experience a lot of uncomfort towards the end at all...I just havent had it like that. And I am not against epidural if that's what a person wants to do....but the attitudes of "omg I could never do it without the epidural" or "you're crazy, you're gonna want the epidural".

Why are people so unsupportive? Or why do they want to see me suffer. Like it's so bizarre...I honestly stopped talking about certain aspects about my pregnancy to peole because of it. Like I need a positive mind, not their negative energy

Anyway that was my rant
