Are bottle warmers and sterilizers necessary ?

My family always just kept the baby water room temperature and hand washed bottles i just need to know if its necessary for me to purchase them

Nope. I kept the bottles at room temp and then once done deinking stuck it in the fridge.

I always wash mine by hand. And only warmed up breast milk.

The only time I have seen people use bottle warmers are when they are warming up breast milk. My mother boiled bottles to sanitize them but that was 30 years ago. I have never seen anyone actually use a sanitizer. I just always thought you just wash them well with hot water and soap and you are good. However, this is my 1st and I’m not sure. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I only used bottle warmers for frozen breastmilk. Like the kiinde bottle warmer. For my second child who didnt breastfeed very long she got room temperature nursery water. So if you don't plan to breastfeed then it's not necessary at all. If you plan to breastfeed they're nice but still not necessarily.

No. It takes 10 million times longer to warm up the breastmilk/formula than hot water. And when you have a hungry baby time is not a luxury. 
We got one because that was one of my hubbies must have, but it didn’t last long

We used antibacterial soap and had a sponge dedicated just to bottles. We also used bottled water to mix in formula. Our water was very hard and we bought them in bulk anyway so it was fine for us. Easy to pack too.

Nope I’ve never used a bottle warmer for both my kids and won’t be using it with this one either. As for sterilizing I just boiled hot water in a large pot on the stove and put all the bottles and nipples for 5 minutes to sterilize after I washed them.
