Extreme pain/cramping when removing tampons

All my life, I’ve had zero problems with my period or my vagina in general. Periods have been normal. Never felt random pain. Cycles have always been fine.

Two years ago was the first time I started having sex, which is also the same time I started birth control.

Within the last year or so, I’ve noticed that I get extreme pain when I pull out a tampon, no matter how dry or wet, no matter how big or small. The pain feels like sharp cramps and last for about 2 - 3 minutes.

I do not have any pain during sex. I do not have any pain when I put a tampon in. I rarely have cramps during my cycles. I don’t ever have period pain. I don’t have any issues or pain going to the bathroom either.

What could be causing this extreme pain from simply pulling out a tampon?
