Late but negative test?

My best friend is trying to get pregnant and she is late but her tests are negative. Has anyone had a negative test after a missed period and then ended with a positive?

I’m late and have had a negative test feeling very depressed about it but it’s still early so going to wait a few days and test again give my body chance to build up the hormones for a positive or sadly start my period. How late is she? Could she be testing a bit early?

Answer

Depends on how she was tracking ovulation. Maybe she ovulated later then “normal”.
