Are you letting your parents/in-laws hold baby yet?

We haven’t let ours since this virus blew up. My in-laws CONSTANTLY nag about it every time we see them (socially distant and outside) and my FIL always tries to touch her. I’m thinking I still don’t want to safety-wise, but goddamn it they just don’t let up.

We have followed the “rules” since the start. Thursday they opened it up here that you can gather with 10 people at a time without social distancing, recommended to get your group consistent but not a requirement. Thursday was the first day the grandparents got to hug our boys since this started, and the great grandparents got to hold them over the weekend 💙 our boys are super lucky with 7 great grandparents so it has been hard not seeing them

We are at my husbands grandparents all the time and they watch our kids while we do things. It would be impossible for that to happen without touching. We saw husbands parents weekly or more often before they moved across the country 3 weeks ago. My family have seen them twice in 12+ weeks. They live across our state and don’t travel much and with my husbands it’s impossible to travel unless I do it by myself. We did memorial day and mothers day with all of my husbands family and their kids. My kids are both on the move so it would be impossible to them to not come in contact with family.

We didn’t got a while, but once Mother’s Day hit, we let all the grandparents hold her. It’s been visits every weekend and holding and playing ever since. Once you start, it’s harder to then take it back and say that’s it! That’s how we felt anyway. I’m sure a quick hug or something wouldn’t be so bad. We made them wash their hands and said no kissing

If they aren't sick and haven't been sick or around any one sick maybe a quick hug wouldn't be so bad. I trust my parents judgment and know that they would never put my baby in harm's way. This has been hard on us because we basically saw eachother and the kids every day. My mom cried on duo because she missed all her grandkids and my mom is NOT a crier... like barely ever.

We are but we also live in Canada and in our city there are only single digit new cases a day. So we feel pretty safe.
