When should I move my son to his crib?

Question

Currently sleeps in a bassinet in our walk in closet. We are on the main floor and his bedroom is upstairs. It makes me nervous having him so far away when he is so little! When do you suggest transitioning him into his own crib? He sleeps 12 hours at night so not like we would be getting up with him during the night. Thanks!

Personally I would put him in his crib since 4 months is around the age they start rolling and start trying to sit up it'll be safer for everyone

They advise in UK to wait until 6 months before putting them in their own rooms hope this helps. My daughter was 7 months as she were moving house. X

He sleeps well and is getting older so I’d do it now. My daughter’s room was down the hall and I was nervous. I started with naps first so I got used to the monitor and distance and then moved her at night. I didn’t sleep well the first few nights but it got easier.

I agree with previous poster. I would just make sure you have a baby monitor since their room is on another level of the house.
