Things you didn’t expect to need for your first apartment?

I’m moving out within 3-6 months and I’m a major planner. I feel like I’ve got the essentials down ⬇️

But I’m wondering if I’m forgetting anything major or if you all have any tips for me. It’s going to be me alone so I’m trying to have enough money put back in case I have an emergency like a car repair or something but other than that I am SO excited to move out!!

I feel like you have a lot of unnecessary things on this list if you’re going to be living alone in your first ever apartment 😅 My advice is that you don’t need a 55 inch TV, or a King bed. These items actually might hinder your choices in apartments over the years because they’re so big and apartments meant for one individual tend to be small... 
Maybe you’ve been working and living at home for quite a while and have A LOT of money saved up, I don’t know. But personally I think it would be a lot more beneficial to have a bigger emergency fund and go without some luxuries. 
Also, don’t feel like you need every little frivolous item your parents have in their home. They’ve accumulated those things over the years. It’s unrealistic to expect to have every little kitchen do-dad and decor item right from the get go.

So personally I find things like a spice and dish rack to be secondary, but they are useful. It seems like you've got everything covered besides some decor to make it feel like home 😁
