I had an ultrasound today, I’m 7 weeks.

The doctor could see the heartbeat flickering but he couldn’t hear it, I asked if we could hear it & he told me he didn’t want to risk damaging the babies heart by pushing hard on my stomach to find it. I’m just confused, I never heard anything like that with my first baby & I had heard her heartbeat by now, he also told me I wouldn’t until about 18 weeks? 🤔

Has anyone else’s ultrasound techs said anything like that to them? I feel like I want to go somewhere else..
