I need advice. My 11 year old got her period this morning and she is mentally miserable. She says she wants to die, or “I hate it” a million times, she hid in the closet this morning, and now 30 minutes in the bathroom crying. I remember my first period, and I didn’t not care that much. I was also 11.

I’m concerned I need to take her to a physiologist or therapist because if this is preteen I can’t imagine how she’ll get through teenage years!

Anyone else had a really hard time accepting they got their period? What helped you get over it? What can I do to help her feel better? Thank you!
