I used to always want to stay friends but as i get older I realize they dont deserve my friendship. I can be cordial but I don’t owe them shit

It depends on multiple things. Just like any friendship in general. Not going to be friends with a possible asshole or a liar, so if they werent an ass or constant liar then sure we can talk occasionally. If they are able to let go of the past, then yeah, we can be friends. If they can respect boundaries set in place, they yeah, we can be friends. And I mean friends by just talking, rarely hang outs if any at all.

Depends on what kind of relationship it was I guess.
I dated a guy in high school for a few months, he was one of my husbands friends before him and I go together.
He’s still our friend/ tattoo artist and I see him regularly.
We dated so long ago and it was never serious so it doesn’t really matter anymore🤷🏻‍♀️
