Are you happy with your divorce?

I’m just wondering if y’all could share your divorce success stories...I’m really devastated about the decision to divorce my husband. We just fight all the time and I’m miserable. I’m going to have no where to live and we have 2 kids and I’m absolutely torn the fuck up about not having them with me every day.

100% happy with it. Had to move back in with my parents the first year to get back on my feet, but everything was fine after that. He doesn't play an active role in our daughter's life so he's only taken her overnight once (in the past 8 years). I've since been remarried and he's an amazing father to my step daughter and our almost 2 year old and is the greatest husband I could ever ask for

It was the best decision I’ve ever made. I didn’t have anyone to help me and had to find a place for me and my three kids. It was really hard at first but so worth it. I now have an amazing boyfriend that my kids call dad. He’s more of a dad to them then their sperm donor. My amazing boyfriend and I just had a baby 😍🥰

Not my divorce, but my parents separated after being married for over 25 years with 2 kids (me and my sister are both in our mid-20s). It was always a very hostile environment when I was growing up. They fought a lot and began to get very violent. Now that they are separated and living in separate homes (and have the intention of divorcing in a civil manner soon as it’s a long process when you don’t use lawyers), they are really great friends. We all still celebrate many holidays together and they are at each other’s homes all the time. I mean they see each other a couple times a week, at least, and watch each other’s animals, and help each other whenever they can. Clearly they were meant to be friends, not partners. When I say it was violent and hostile, it was really bad. And there was a lot of cheating. They have been separated for about 5 years now. If they can be friends, almost any divorced couple has a chnace!

My husband and I are both happily divorced from our first spouses and happily married to each other. 
I didn’t have kids with my ex husband but my husband has 2 older kids and we have 2 kids together. I’m sure it has been difficult for both my husband and his ex wife to handle having the kids only part time but they have a great coparenting relationship and we live 10 minutes away from their mom which helps a lot. 
My best advice is to focus on coparenting for the kids. GL!
