Obviously it’s not the app that makes me obsessed but it’s the updates from people getting early positives (happy for them). 
I’m 7dpo and 4 tests down already 😩😏🤨
Think I used a years worth of ovulation test strips too 😩😅😖

The reality is that women miscalculate their ovulation date more often than they get it right. *Especially* if they’re not using BBT, as OPKs don’t confirm ovulation. 
The absolute earliest you can actually get a positive is 8dpo, and this is extremely rare since implantation only occurs at 6dpo less than 0.5% of the time. It takes 2-4 days for hcg to increase to detectable levels. The vast majority of the time, implantation happens between 8-10dpo, making positive tests more likely between 10-12dpo or later. It’s also worth noting that implantation can take as long as 12dpo. That’s why you shouldn’t test until 12-14dpo if you want an accurate result.
Don’t worry about all of those women who claim to get a positive super early, they’re more often than not just plain wrong on their ovulation date. If they do happen to be one of the super rare and lucky ones to get an early positive, great! But it’s so rare, it’s not worth entertaining.

I was so excited to test on my first cycle and took tests from like 7-14 dpo lol
Recently I’ve realised how pointless testing early is and manage to hold out until 12 dpo to take my first test
