Newborn won’t wake ?

Question

My baby is a 1week old and sometimes when she goes to sleep I let her sleep for 3-4 hours and then when I go to wake her it’s so hard... like she moves and stuff and kinda cry’s but then goes right back asleep she doesn’t even open her eyes ? I literally try everything to get her completely awake so she can eat and get changed & stuff but it’s really hard 😩 anyone else baby do this ? She scares me so much

If you feel something is wrong, talk to the pediatrician. 
For me, I never woke my infant. If he was hungry, he let me know and if for some reason, I needed to change him, he would sleep through it. I never woke him up.  Babies sleep so much at that age.

Take everything off right down to the diaper that will wake baby right up mother of 4 and labor and delivery nurse

Shes just tired, babies dont like to wake up especially when they are newborns

I let mine sleep. If he needed his diaper changed, I just changed it while he slept. Speak with your pediatrician if you have concerns.

If you’re concerned, check with a doctor. 
Remember this though...human babies are born incredibly early in comparison to basically every other animal. Think about how other animals are born pretty much fully functional. 
Being born so (comparatively) early means human babies spend all their early life lying around growing their brains. They make a million new brain cells every twenty seconds and this can use up to four fifths of their body’s energy.
That’s why they sleep so much. They are not just sleeping. Their body is using most of its energy to grow their brain. 
More brain cells mean more complex function.

My friend had a very sleepy baby. She would strip him down to just a diaper and then try to feed him and that seemed to keep him awake long enough to feed. But I would mention to your doctor just in case.

Have jaundice levels been checked? 
Trust your mom gut! If you think something is wrong I’d call your doctor just to make sure all is okay!

Sounds normal to be a week she's growing..give her time she'll start staying up more
