16 month old’s speech.
My aunt came to visit yesterday, and commented constantly on my 16 month old daughter’s speech (literally 16 months today).
This is what she says frequently:
- Mum
- Dad
- Nan
- Bub
- See ya later
- Thank you
- Ta
- [Her Dad’s name]
- Hey
- Hello
- Cheese
- Car
- Where’s the car?
- It’s a car.
- Shh (with finger to her lips).
- There she is (when I ask where is she?)
- Go away.
- No.
- Oi.
- Uh-oh.
- Jesus.
- Aye.
- Wow.
- Kisses.
- Want your water?
- Toot
- Shoes
- Oh wow.
- Doodle.
- What is it?
Has said:
- yay
- Yoohoo
- Ee-I-ee-I-oh (old MacDonald song)
- Two
My aunt is concerned that she’s behind on speech. Thoughts?
