So the number of high school seniors (17/18 year olds) becoming sexually active is on a rise. I realize that 18 year olds are "adults" (Barely) but -17 would not be. Obviously teenagers will do what they want but a study showed that teenagers who were home schooled waited til 19/20+ to have sex versus teenagers who attended school. I think that shows that majority of teenagers *feel* like they have to have sex or are being peer pressured. What do you think parents, or even the media, could do to combat/reduce sexual actitivity in 16+ year olds? (Or under, although I don't really hear about 15 and under having sex) I think high school TV shows play a role in this. Shows like Riverdale, pretty little liars, degrassi- have definitely normalized premature sex. I think it is important to talk about safe sex while promoting abstinence. What do you think can be done?
