scared of tampons :(

i’m 13 and i have so many friends who use tampons. i started my period when i was 11, and i’ve always used pads since then. i tried to put it in a few times but kept backing out. i feel like once i start regularly using them it won’t be a problem and it will actually make my life easier, but i’m so hesitant. any tips on where to start ?
