Sibling names too similar?

My two year old son is named Owen, and my husband and I joked about naming a daughter Gwen since it’s also a Welsh name. Well, I’m having a girl and really like Gwen (not Gwendolyn or Gwenyth). Are the names Owen and Gwen too similar/cutesy?

They’re pronounced different so I wouldn’t see it being an issue. Rhyming times are the difficult ones. You call one and they both think they heard their name 😂

I don't think so. I think it's pretty! And to me there's enough difference in the way they are pronounced that I don't see it being to similar. 
Our oldest is Jensen and we loved the name Jameson for this baby if it's a boy. But people told us it sounded to similar. It totally ruined the name for us and it was the first name where we were both like OMG Yes! When we heard it we knew we wanted it. My husband is now bent on Hudson, I'm not in love with it (we're not finding out gender of baby) and I haven't totally given up on Jameson. I told him I will not settle on a boys name until birth if the baby is a boy. I want to see baby first and see what name fits.
