Milk?

Question

How am I supposed to do this whole milk thing? I got organic whole milk by horizons however my breast-fed baby absolutely hates it. We started yesterday with 2 ounces and he drank about half, today I gave him 2 ounces at lunch and he spit it right out and shuddered 😂 
I guess it just takes time?

I think breast milk is sweeter than cow milk. Have you tried adding a little honey? Just to match the sweetness of your milk...that is if you have tasted your breast milk

Just keep trying! Lilah’s not a big fan yet but she’s realizing it’s either that or water so she’s starting to drink it. I give it to her warmed up in a sippy in the morning and at night, that’s her favorite way to drink it.

Definitely takes time! Took us about 3 weeks for her to fully drink it. My daughter also likes it warmed up 😊 she’ll still drink it cold but likes it a lot more and doesn’t take so long when it’s warmed.

We’re having the same problem with my boys I did a straight switch no issues! I’ve tried it cold and warm, in a bottle and numerous cups. Tonight for the 1st time I mixed it with formula and she drank it so I’m going to gradually increase the cows milk and reduce the formula! Do you have any expressed milk? Could you try the same thing? I think if you’re breastfeeding though they don’t need cows milk too?

You can always try mixing it with your breast milk first.. so help slowly transition!

Mine will only drink it warmed up. 😩

My daughter won’t drink it either. Keep trying. It can take a lot of effort. We try once every few days and just make sure she’s getting the calcium from other sources for now.
