I missed period! Could it be my birth control or could I be pregnant ?

Okay, so I been on birth control for the past 3 months and everything has been going so well, I have a boyfriend and we’ve been together for about 9 months now, and I put myself on birth control bc having a baby is not right for me rn since im only about to be 22 and still in University. He does cum inside me regularly since i am on the pill! i get my period regularly and get it when im on my last row of pills since that’s when im usually supposed to get it. But this month, im 3 days late now and haven’t gotten it yet. Im worried that maybe my birth control didnt work the way i planned it too. Am i being paranoid? Should i wait a little more? Or is it normal to miss your period when youre on the pill? Maybe i should take a test? Help☹️ Please reply & no judgement please.
