Hello! Is a 3rd trimester ultrasound normal at your clinic?

My clinic is having me get an ultrasound at 32 weeks. I’m wondering if this is a normal thing in the third trimester? Thank you!

Mine doesnt done one in the third trimester unless you’re high risk but others do I think.

My doc has me get a growth scan every 4weeks since my 20w scan to follow baby’s growth. My first was 9lbs 6oz.  Also I’m plus size and over 35yrs old but otherwise very healthy and no complications. 
At some point closer to the end they will also have me start weekly non stress tests. Last time that started around 34/36 weeks or so I believe.

I will have an ultrasound every week starting at 34 weeks until I deliver. I’m 36; will be 37 when I deliver so I am AMA. My OB said it’s routine for them to check fetal growth, amniotic fluid levels, placenta, heart rate, etc. to make sure baby girl is okay.

Yup! I have one every other appointment. I’ll be having one at 29 weeks and 36 weeks :)

I have got one because I have a placental Lake which showed up in previous scan. otherwise my sis and my friend had baby few years back n they said usually its only 2 scans... they said its not series aa long as I don’t see any blood. 30 wks tomorrow all good so far😊

My dr does one at 36 weeks. To make sure everything looks good and that he’s head down.

Mine does. My midwife assured me that it’s not because anything’s wrong (I previously had a lot of anxiety bc I had to have a fetal echo but everything ended up okay). She said some places don’t do them but they do because they like to and because quite frankly “[they’re] good at it” lol

In mine, it is not... But as corona made them do most of my appointments online and on the phone, and only thing I went to in second, was anatomy, they just told they wanted to do an ultrasound on 34w.

It’s normal. It just all depends on your insurance and your doctor/clinic
