Twins and HCG?

If you thought you may be conceiving twins (or multiples), would you test positive on a home pregnancy test sooner?

Hcg will rise faster with multiples, meaning you will get a positive sooner with two or more rather than just one, but there’s no way to tell without an ultrasound

No. Only an ultrasound will show how many. HCG levels or testing positive sooner does not indicate twins.

I tested on the 3rd day of my missed period and i had a blazing positive. At my 8 week ultrasound, i found out it was twins. I’m assuming if i tested sooner, i would have gotten a positive.
