Does bio oil actually work in making stretch marks go?

Waste of money in my opinion. You'll get them or you won't. Nothing really makes them fade much afterwards except time unfortunately.

You really need to use it as a preventative rather than a cure.l, so start applying any oil of body butter from day one so that it helps skins elasticity. 
It's a bit like locking the stable door after the horse has already bolted when you start applying stuff once you've already got them.
That being said, Clarins body oil is a great one for significantly reducing the appearance of stretch marks, bit pricey (£40) but you get what you pay for. 
I've used it on my thighs in the passed to reduce stretch marks and found it to be brilliant. 
This pregnancy I've just used pure coconut oil every single day and so far so good but there still time 🙃

I found this stuff better. Hardly any stretch marks at 8 months...

I applied all through pregnancy with my first and did suddenly get them at 36 weeks, I think it’s def a case of you get them or you don’t ... BUT I kept applying after birth and it did fade them super quick XX

I don’t think a lot helps. Stretch marks are something you either get, or you don’t, regardless of what you use. Bio oil may help them fade and won’t hurt you, so worth a shot.
