The NP I have been seeing scheduled me for an induction on Tuesday. I’ll be 41 weeks. Really hoping baby decides to come before then but if not I don’t think I’ll be showing up. I requested an appointment for Monday where I’ll probably get another NST and decide for sure from there. Not happy with my OB at all this entire pregnancy and this was the cherry on top. She scheduled me to be induced before even talking to me about it. When I asked why I needed to be induced then the answer I got was “because it’s dangerous” but I have done my research and feel comfortable going past 41 weeks as a first time mother. There was no conversation before hand about induction and health of baby and when I requested a cervix check to possibly try a sweep/strip they refused. I have had a perfectly healthy pregnancy with no complications.
