How long is everyone’s maternity leave?

I had my baby June 4th and I’m off work until August 27th. That’s 6 weeks short term disability, 4 weeks paternal leave and 2 weeks of PTO.
I could take more but it would be unpaid and that’s just not doable for us.
How long does everyone else get and where are you from if you not in the US?

I live in Canada and will take 10/12 months! I can take up to 18 months, if I wish, but financially cannot afford to go beyond 10/12 months. We get a % of our wage up to a maximum of $573 per week and my company tops up my wages for 17 weeks, so I get 75% of my salary. I just discussed with my husband this morning how grateful I am we live here - I don’t know how new mamas go back to work so early, when they don’t have any choice.

I just quit honestly. We’d just be using my check for childcare so we decide I’ll watch him full time until preschool.

I think it is disgusting how US mothers seem to get little or no maternity leave. In the UK we get 6 weeks 90 percent of wages and the rest of the 9 months we get a lower amount with the option to take a further 3 months unpaid however most people accrue holidays during maternity so have about a further 3 to 4 weeks to take whenever (as a general rule but some companies differ) at the start of the pandemic in March here I was sent home from work on full pay for 13 weeks as pregnant women fell under the vulnerable category. I'll not be back to work until june 2021 at the earliest and I've been off since march.

I’m the only one working and I’m working as a waitress so during all of this.. it’s just not doable to take time off as I dont get paid time off so I went back to work a week after birth. Luckily I didn’t tear or anything!😅😌 but I did get a job as a temp in the apartment complex I live at and I got a job at the hospital across the street from me so soon I’ll be able to quit the waitressing job!

We get 20 weeks between state, disability and and employee benefits. I’m only taking 3 mos to start and may take another 2-3week leave later in the year. (I don’t feel the need to take the entire 5 mos off since we’ll be working from home the rest of the year and I will still be home with the kids.)
Our company tops us off and we really want for nothing during our time off. I will say, this is not the norm and our company is known for it’s great benefits and employee morale. I’m lucky to be apart of it :-) I work for a tech company in Silicon Valley

I’m in IL and my company thankfully gives 16 weeks parental leave with full pay. I’m due to return 9/21 but using pto to return 10/5. So I’ll have almost 18 weeks off. I’m hoping I can still opt to work from home by then.

Very lucky- I get 8 weeks full pay through my work and Wa state benefits and then partial pay the other 8 weeks through the state but have enough pto to really get full pay for 16 weeks. I’m taking off until October 16th or end of Oct depending on how things go.

I live in Canada and due to the fact I haven’t worked since October 2019, I’m entitled to maternity benefits from the government until October 2020. I had my boy on June 11, 2020 and I don’t plan on looking for work or going back to school until June 11, 2021. 
It makes me sad to see that Momma’s in the US get such little time with their babies.

8 weeks technically unpaid but my boss gave me $2500 😐 which is better than none. I’m jealous of everyone around the world who get months and months of leave!

12 weeks, have to use PTO and short term disability to get paid. I'd love to take longer but would lose my job...
